Day 15-18: My Online Income System

My Online Income System update:  More reading and studying, with no actual hands-on work. Probably more interesting for someone with no internet experience than it is for me. Still, there is a lot of good information being provided in the course and e-books presented for reading.

This is really difficult for me, as I’m a very action-oriented person. I understand the importance of looking before you leap, and knowing what you’re doing instead of rushing ahead.  ”Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.” Trust me, I’ve been a fool my fair share of the time…

One of the great resources shared was learning how to write articles quickly. General rule of thumb being quantity is more important than quality. Not that anyone recommends you put out garbage, but getting lots of work out there will do more for you than getting a few really well-written articles. The e-book resource recommends spending no more than 10 minutes writing an article so, theoretically, you should be able to crank out 5 articles an hour.

Even if you only spent an hour a day writing articles, in one week, you would have 35 of them out there on the internet pointing back at your website, or affiliate link, or opt-in list. Sounds good to me.

So, being one of those people who always jumps ahead in class, I decided to forgo my “A” work, and cranked out two 10-minute articles this morning. I was amazed at how easy it really was to do that.  Now, I haven’t done anything with the articles yet, and still need to make sure they are keyword optimized (which should only take a quick revision).

This is a HUGE deal for me. Content is king in internet-based businesses. So, learning that my “A” work isn’t required here, and then not letting myself get sucked into doing it anyway (what can I say, I’ve always been an overachiever!), will be a major time-saver for me.

Anyway, lots more to read and study, but wanted to give an update on my progress. I’m hoping to get through week 3 of the material tonight.
