The thought occurred to me that I have never really taken the time to talk about myself, who I am, how I got into internet network marketing, what my dreams and goals are, who I look up to… you know, all the things that make me who I am.
Today I thought, what better time to post a message like this than on my 50th birthday!
My first exposure to multi-level network marketing was in the 80’s with Amway. I “tried” Amway, failed miserably and thought MLM opportunities were a big rip off.
I did, however, do some home-party stuff in the 80’s and was mildly successful, but burned out quickly since I was working full-time and trying to do home parties evenings and weekends too. I settled into working regular jobs managing to just make ends meet.
In the fall of 2004, I moved my family to the state of Arkansas. It was a huge step toward changing our lifestyle. I purchased a home on 15 acres in a small community, population 925, and took a full-time job 15 minutes away in the city (population 19,362).
In 2006 I was approached by a friend about an e-commerce business. The “pitch” sounded a lot like the old Amway lines, but he said he didn’t even know what Amway way. I always thought the MLM structure was a good business model and one that would offer long-term stability, residual income, and the opportunity to retire and still have an income at some point down the road, so I signed up.
My hopes of generating an on-line, e-commerce business quickly faded as I read through the company materials and discovered there were a lot of rules about setting up websites, recruiting people, etc. Basically, the only part of this e-commerce business that was conducted on line was the product ordering.
It also turned out my new business opportunity (Quixstar) was created by the Amway folks. No wonder it sounded so familiar! They even offer the full Amway product line in addition to the new stuff they have. Now, I have nothing against Amway or Quixstar. They just didn’t offer the type of business I was looking for.
By this time, I had been bitten by the MLM internet bug, and there was no turning back.
I started researching different opportunities and ways of making money. I spent thousands of dollars on information products, classes, e-books, paper books, CDs, DVDs and signed up for hundreds of newsletters.
I looked at affiliate marketing, niche websites, and pay per click advertising.
I discovered how to ride the wave of Google trends.
I learned about funded proposals, up-sells, blogging, email marketing and article marketing.
I learned about social marketing through MySpace, FaceBook and Twitter.
After several attempts at a variety of different ways to make a living on the internet, the pieces finally started falling into place.
The great thing is, they started to fall into place at just about the same time my “Why” was becoming a truly important driving force in my life.
I frequently talk about the importance of your “Why”. You see, the reason why you want to succeed is incredibly important. If it isn’t something that will fuel your passion, make you put blinders on to the adversities and obstacles that you will face, and make you more determined than ever to succeed, then this isn’t the industry for you.
Most people enter internet network marketing because they think it will be easy. Most of them want to give this a try because they don’t really want to expend the effort of supporting themselves in a “real job”. Frankly, they’re lazy.
Without question, these people will epically fail.
As Yoda said, “There is no try. There is only do.”
But, back to my own personal why. I’m a single parent. The family I moved 2,000 miles away from my childhood home (literally!), consisted of my son, my mother and my sister. My mother has since developed Alzheimer’s, my sister was born with Down Syndrome, and my son is a teenager. Enough said?
I realized that my options were to develop an on-line income so that I could care for my family, or make some very difficult decisions about letting someone else take care of my loved ones.
Now, you may not have as dramatic a “why” as that, but it has to be something important enough to fuel your passion. If you aren’t passionate about succeeding, you will never succeed. By nature, the vast majority of the population will “go with the flow” and take the path of least resistance. It’s easier. You can survive. In fact, you can even do better than just get by in most cases.
If that’s you, then don’t waste your time or mine.
But, if you have a burning passion, if you are truly driven to succeed, if you can look fear and disappointment, and your family and friends in the eye and say, “I’m going to succeed — beyond my wildest dreams!” then send me an email, or post a comment here. I personally read and respond to every email and blog comment (that isn’t spam, that is!).
I’d love to help you achieve your dreams.
To your success!

There are a variety of ways that you can build an email list. One way to add a large amount of people to your list quickly is through a giveaway.
I’m sure you’ve seen emails regarding giveaways in the past. But, have you ever participated in one? If not, I would like to suggest a couple that are going on right now — but you’ll have to act fast if you want to get in on them. First, let me tell you what a JV Giveaway is, and how it works.
The “JV” stands for Joint Venture. The thought process here is that by pooling contact lists, you can exponentially multiply the traffic in an event by doing a Joint Venture over a solo offer.
In a Giveaway, the people coming together to pool contact lists each offer one or more gifts to give away. These gifts can be ebooks, programs, MP3 files, videos, CDs, DVDs — just about anything of value — usually business or personal development related.
Once the doors open for the giveaway, anyone can click on the link and go download any of the gifts that have been collected for free.
So, how does this build your downline? Gift contributors set up squeeze pages for their gifts. In order to receive the gift, you have to opt-in to their mailing list. Once you’ve opted in and confirmed, you are emailed a download link for your free gift.
Simple concept. Great results.
At 12:00 noon on March 8th, Russell Brunson’s Big Birthday Giveaway opens it’s doors. So, in order to get in on this one, you’ll have to move fast. If you’re interested, click on this link:
Russell’s Big Birthday Giveaway
Enter the invitation code: Wealth25BL
The other giveaway that is happening soon is the March Madness Giveaway. It launches Saturday, March 14th. To join this giveaway, click on this link:
March Madness Giveaway

In fact, you may want to enter both of them! Both giveaways anticipate 200,000 visitors. Think of what THAT could do for your mail list?
To your success!

p.s. Do you have the tools you need to build and run a successful business on line? Do you even know what tools you need? Here’s everything you need in one package . . .
Have you ever looked at the major players in the network marketing industry on the internet and wondered, what do they have that I don’t have? Why are they so successful, while I’m just barely getting by? You’re about to find out as I reveal the qualities you absolutely must develop in order to be a successful network marketer.
One of the most important qualities you need to succeed is a willingness to learn. You have to be teachable. If you look at the network marketing gurus, one thing they all share in common is a huge library of learning materials. They literally never stop learning.
The truly successful network marketers spend thousands of dollars every year honing their skills and learning new ones. With the rapid changes on the internet, you can’t afford to become stagnant.
There are a lot of ways you can continue to educate yourself. You can read books, attend seminars, subscribe to newsletters, take classes, or find a mentor, someone who is a skilled network marketer and can teach you things that you don’t know about this industry.
I listen to CDs and MP3 files literally several hours a day. While I’m working around the house, I’m feeding my mind with new ideas about network marketing. Here’s an important key: don’t just listen to a CD once and think you have it. I have CDs and audio files that I have listened to dozens of times. It never ceases to amaze me when I hear something I never heard before on a CD I’ve listened to 20 times before.
The important thing here is, you don’t have to succeed by trial and error. You don’t have to blaze a new trail. There are some very successful network marketers making six figures on the internet. Learn from them. You can easily shave months — even years — off your journey by learning from the failures and successes of others.
Another quality you must develop in order to succeed at network marketing is focus. If you don’t know where you’re going, I can pretty much guarantee you that you’ll never arrive at your destination. There is a well-known saying, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”
This is true in any endeavor, but seems to be especially true in network marketing, and even more so when conducting your business on the internet. There are so many opportunities out there, that it’s easy to lose focus. And, without focus, you are easily blown in every direction by a change in the direction of the wind.
Often when asked for advice on how to build a network marketing business on the internet, I discover in conversation that a lack of focus is the problem. So, what’s the solution? Choose a direction — a company, a product, a marketing method — and go for it. Don’t be swayed by the next big deal that comes along. Keep steady on the course you have chosen.
I promise you that if you don’t focus on a single direction, you’ll never succeed at network marketing. There are a lot of opportunities out there. Many of them are good. Choose one and go for it with all you’ve got!
Finally, you will fail at internet network marketing unless you develop the all-important quality of perseverance. Think back to when you first got excited about network marketing. The business plan made sense. You could see yourself achieving your goals: financial freedom, more time with your family, whatever it was that made you want to take the leap.
Do you still have that sense of excitement today? It not, why not? You see, you may have been promised a sure-fire, easy, no work required method of making millions, but has that been your experience? Probably not.
The number one reason most people fail at network marketing is that they don’t give it long enough. Just last week, I had someone tell me that she wasn’t going to renew her membership next month because she could “use that money somewhere else”.
How long had she been in the business? This is her second month.
How much time had she spent promoting it? Not much.
Many people enter this industry expecting instant money and overnight success. The truth is, it’s a business, and building a business takes times, effort and perseverance.
The first marketing effort for your network marketing business may flop. Are you going to throw in the towel and say it doesn’t work? Or, are you going to move on to the next “sure thing”?
Look at each “failure” as a lesson learned. Dissect your effort and try to determine why it failed. Learn from your mistakes. Ask your mentor what he or she would have done differently. Then launch your revised marketing plan.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. But, there have to be other steps following that first one in order to reach the destination.
So, the keys to success are:
* focus - you have to know where you are going
* learning - you have to learn how to get there
* perseverance - you have to continue the journey until you reach your destination.
Develop these three qualities, and you can’t help but succeed at network marketing.

Multi-Level Marketing gets a lot of bad press and, to tell you the truth, much of it is well-deserved.
Back in the day when MLM began, a lot of us became very familiar with the “spiel”. A friend or relative would call all excited about a new business they had just started.
They wouldn’t tell you anything about the business on the phone, but invited you to come to their house so that they could present all the details to you there and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
Unfortunately, not much has changed. Many people are still trying to recruit people into their opportunity using the same methods.
You join an MLM company, and the first thing your sponsor wants you to do is come up with a list of 200 people. This is your “warm” market. These are your relatives, your friends, your co-workers.
These are the people who know and trust you. The people least likely to suspect they are about to be scammed and lied to in order to get them to come to a meeting where your more experienced upline will present the opportunity and sell the “dream”.
Many people joining MLM soon find their friends, family and co-workers avoiding them like the plague because they want nothing to do with their business opportunity.
When you’re finished running through your warm market, which shouldn’t take long depending on how tough-skinned you are and diligent about making those calls, you are encouraged to expand your circle to include your neighbors, the mail man, your hair dresser, and your dentist – anyone you know or come into contact with.
You begin the process again, and find that your circle of alienation has expanded, and you still have found no one who wants to join you.
About this time, you start becoming discouraged. After all, you’re really excited about your MLM, and you can’t understand why everyone else isn’t as excited as you are.
You go back to your sponsor, and this time you’re encouraged to buy some leads. You’re told “it’s a numbers game”. If you contact enough people about your MLM business, someone is going to sign up.
So, you start buying leads and calling total strangers and talking to them about your business opportunity.
They aren’t interested either.
About this time, you decide that MLM is a rip-off and you’ve been scammed.
Does any of this sound familiar? Most of us have been there; some of us more than once.
I’ve been told by experts and watch dogs that MLM can’t work. And, you know what? They’re right.
MLM, the way it was sold to you and to me and to just about everyone out there, will never work.
Most people look at MLM as a pyramid scheme. And, the way it has been presented, it is one. But, is it being presented correctly?
In a pyramid scheme, the people who get in first are the ones who profit. The further away from the top you are in the hierarchy, the less chance you have of being successful and making money at MLM.
Is this true?
Well, sort of. But, the same could be said about any business in America. The one who starts the business, the business owner, the president, the CEO – they are the ones who stand to gain the most from their business. They have lots of worker bees beneath them in the hierarchy who won’t make anywhere near they profit they do.
Now, here’s the thing.
I know that the “dream” you and everyone else were sold was that you could fire your boss, work 4 hours a week, and make a six-figure income. Well, frankly, you were lied to.
Now, you CAN fire your boss and make a six-figure income in MLM. But, it will take more than 4 hours a week. But, so does your present 40-hour a week job. After putting in the time, money and effort to build your business, you may be able to cut back to minimal hours, but at the start, it will take more.
The other problem with the way the MLM dream is sold is that EVERYONE can do this. Well, the fact of the matter is, everyone CAN’T recruit a huge downline and make 7 figures a year at your MLM opportunity.
At some point, you will simply run out of people. Someone, somewhere down the line will find themselves without someone to recruit because everyone is already in the opportunity.
Now, of course, not everyone wants to join your opportunity in the first place, but stay with me here.
Can EVERYONE be the CEO of a major corporation? I don’t think so. We would run out of corporations long before we ran out of people to become CEO.
Can ANYONE be the CEO of a major corporation? Of course there are exceptions to every rule but, basically, anyone who had the desire and was willing to pay the price could become the CEO of a major corporation.
Does everyone WANT to be the CEO of a major corporation? Nope. And, likewise, not everyone wants to work their MLM business full-time.
There are a lot of reasons people get into MLM. Some people just like the products and want to be a customer. Some like the products and sign up as a distributor because they want the discount on the products. Some just want to earn a little extra cash. Some want to replace their current income. Some want to fire their boss and earn 7 figures a year with their MLM business.
Is it possible?
Yes, if you have the desire and are willing to pay the price!

I’ve been quiet for a while. In fact, I’m amazed that February is already half over. I’m afraid I’ve been awful at blogging and emailing so far in 2009.
But, I have been busy. I’ve been studying, writing, and recording. Look for more posts soon and some pretty exciting material I’ll be offering in the near future.
It doesn’t take a genius to recognize that our economy is in trouble. One thing is certain — there has never been a better time to be involved in network marketing. Given the right opportunity, the right training, and the right support, those who are in this industry will be able to ride out the coming storm.
One of the things I have been spending my time on is social marketing. I’ve been doing my best sponge impersonation, and sitting at the feet of masters in order to learn all that I can about the proper way to build a business through social marketing.
Two things I have learned are:
- Most people who are trying to build their MLM business through social marketing are doing it all wrong.
- Many people in the social networking arenas have a very negative impression of those of us in MLM.
Make no mistake about it. The two are very closely connected.
MLM has gotten a bad reputation over the years because so many in this industry have tried to chase people down and coerce them into joining their opportunity. I’m sure everyone out there has been approached by at least three people who want to share an exciting opportunity with them.
Many people try to trick prospects into their opportunity by inviting them to a meeting or a teleconference by being incredibly vague. The problem is, the vague invitations are now well-known as an MLM recruiting ploy, and generally do not work.
On Twitter today, I discovered an incredibly negative and outspoken thread regarding MLM. Tweets were flying back and forth about how Twitterers were hoping for “real” followers, not just MLM’ers.
Now, I’m not ashamed of being in MLM, so I sent out a quick Tweet saying that not everyone in MLM is an ambulance chaser. Some of us truly want to network and build relationships.
Take this opportunity to examine the way you promote your opportunity. You see, if you aren’t part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.
What kind of an impression do people get of MLM from you?
I think it’s time for MLM to have a facelift. It’s time for those of us in this industry to change the way we do business. We need to raise the bar of professionalism.
Are you still working your list of 200 contacts in your “warm market”? Are you scanning the idea list trying to come up with more names of people you can call and invite to a meeting? Are you having any success?
If you want to experience real success in MLM through internet network marketing, it’s time to make a change. I will be offering training in social marketing in March. If you are interested in taking part, send an email to WealthBuildersSite@gmail.com with the subject line: social marketing class.
I’ll send you some handouts and information on my webinar.

One of my first activities every day is walking the dogs. This morning I couldn’t help but notice Rusty’s activity.
We head out the door on leash and Rusty is very excited. He runs from one thing to another, sniffs it, and then decides whether or not to mark it.
You’re probably wondering what in the world this has to do with internet network marketing, but stay with me for a minute…
So, here’s Rusty: he runs to a bush and sniffs. He decides to mark the bush. He runs to a tree and sniffs the tree. He runs to the car and sniffs the tires, and decides to mark them. This goes on for quite a while. There is obviously more to his routine than just relieving himself.
And the thought occurred to me, what he’s doing is checking things out and then making them his own.
That’s just what we need to do to be successful in network marketing on the internet. You see, many of us start out in this business thinking we know best. Yeah, we’ve heard the experts and the gurus, we’ve heard our sponsor and our upline, but we have an even better idea.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you can’t have a good idea, or come up with a better way of doing things that has been somehow overlooked before. But, what I am saying is, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
Remember Rusty? First, he sniffed around. He checked things out to see whether or not they held any promise. When he found something that interested him, he marked it, he claimed it, he made it his own.
While you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, you definitely want to personalize whatever you do.
I guess old dogs can teach US some new tricks — if we pay attention!
To your success!

P.S. Less than one day till launch, are you in??? Click here now.
Have you read the January/February 2009 issue of Home Business magazine? Two articles in particular caught my eye: “Using Cutting-Edge Technology to Bust Out From the Competition” on page 46 and “The Future of Meetings: Conduct ‘Visual Communications’ from Your Home Office” on page 72.
The timing is almost surreal considering the pending launch of WebProsperity next Tuesday.

========================================
Unless you’ve been living under a rock or the last several weeks, you have no doubt had your inbox flooded with emails regarding WebProsperity.
And, if you keep up with any of the internet/network marketing blogs out there, you have probably heard the good, the bad, and the ugly about this company.
Probably the three biggest complaints I have heard are:
1. The only people who will buy into this program are the people who are interested in the opportunity.
and, the reason given for #1, is #2:
2. There isn’t a “real” product.
3. Most people will never complete their matrix and make the real money talked about by WebProsperity.
Let’s deal with the first two complaints.
I disagree on both counts and, judging from the two articles mentioned above, Home Business magazine disagrees too!
OK, they don’t come right out and endorse WebProsperity — or even mention it. But, both of these articles are about tools that are important for every internet entrepreneur — not just for the ones interested in the WebProsperity business opportunity.
The first article describes a web-based management program which allows you to access your entire “desktop” and contact information for all of your clients from any location. The second article talks about videoteleconferencing.
Now, let’s look at the WebProsperity product suite:
WebProsperity Contact helps you maximize your business with the power of follow-up and broadcast emails. Email your downline, capture new subscribers and build a database of contacts!
WebProsperity Media lets you add the human touch to your member site with live chat, streaming audio/video and Podcasts! Use it to create, store and share your photo galleries with visitors and your downline.
WebProsperity Meeting maximizes your time and strengthens relationships with phone and web meetings. Hold interactive conferences, training seminars and presentations with just a few clicks – and no special software required!
WebProsperity Address Book keeps all your contacts at your fingertips! Look up addresses, emails, phone numbers, IM nicknames − even notes. You can even import, export and update contact information to continually build your downline.
WebProsperity Finder is an intuitive, Flash-based tool that lets you visually browse through your downline. Manage enroller activity, history, rank, and more. Review your team’s structure to instantly identify areas that need more effort!
WebProsperity Calendar is a simple and intuitive web-based calendar that helps you schedule and track your tasks, appointments, meetings, and events. Take advantage of new contacts and opportunities with at-a-glance scheduling and stay on top of your day with automated reminders.
This doesn’t sound like a product with the limited appeal the nay-sayers would like you to believe.
And yes, I realize you can get similar products elsewhere — maybe even for less or even free. But, there are definite benefits to getting them all rolled up neatly in a single package. The price will be hard to beat on an individual basis. Most free software products have limited functionality or competing ads, or some other drawback which makes them less desirable.
And, the suggestion has been made that with advances in technology, the competition will come out with a better, cheaper version in the future. Perhaps, but I would have to believe that a company like Implix will continue to develop their products to keep pace with technology rather than fall behind.
I can see businesses in a wide variety of industries being interested in the WebProsperity product suite. In fact, I encourage you to begin thinking outside of the box between now and Tuesday.
Once this product launches, you will want to contact people who not only would be interested in earning money promoting these products, but also people who aren’t interested in the business side, but can use the WebProsperity product line to improve their web presence and mobility.
Now, here’s the best part. Just as with any MLM company, retention is hugely important. These products may not be used up on a monthly basis, but they are a subscription service which has to be purchased on a monthly basis.
Once your customers have started using these products in their businesses, it is highly doubtful they won’t renew the subscription next month, and the month after, and next year, etc., etc.
Oh, and about that third complaint, if you join WebProsperity with me, here’s what I’m going to do for you:
I have already purchased a domain name to use for an advertising co-op for my downline. Every advertisement in the co-op will direct people to this website, and each participant in the co-op will get an equal share of “hits” from the advertising campaign.
Details about this advertising co-op will be emailed out to everyone in my downline within days of the official launch. I will not accept personal failure, and I am 100% committed to your success too!
I know this is a long post, but it’s important, as we only have 2 days to go until launch.
Remember, locking in your position pre-launch is free. In fact, you don’t have to secure your position by actually purchasing anything until January 30th.
When you do buy in, you have two options: The $29.95 level which gives you access to the basic tools and will allow you to earn up to $10,000 a month; or the $59.95 level, which will give you access to the entire WebProsperity suite of tools and allow you to earn an unlimited amount monthly.
If you really can’t decide before January 30th, you can always sign up for the basic level and still have the opportunity to upgrade to Elite Builder status, as long as you do so within 90 days of launch.
So, tell me, what are you waiting for? Lock in your position now, and get ready to achieve those dreams you had just about given up on.
There has never been a better time, or a better opportunity. Don’t put this off. Go here now:

In John Counsel’s review, “WebProsperity: why I’m NOT promoting it”, he lays out what he calls the five critical criteria for evaluating any MLM opportunity:
- The Company
- The Compensation Plan
- The Products
- The Support Systems
- The Upline Team
And he finds fault with WebProsperity on the first two counts, and reserves judgment on the last three until after product launch.
Personally, one of the reasons I’m excited about WebProsperity is because of the company. I currently use Implix products — especially their autoresponder, GetResponse. If you sign up for my email newsletter, that is the service that ensures you receive my preloaded and broadcast emails.
I find GetResponse a very user-friendly, FTC compliant, and effective tool for both my internet network marketing and niche website businesses. So Implix being one of the key players in WebProsperity is a huge plus for me.
I don’t find anything unfair about the compensation plan. Every company, MLM or not, rewards people for their position within the organization. WebProsperity is no different. The sooner you enter the program, the higher up you will be on the “corporate ladder” so to speak, and the higher your earnings.
I will admit that the support systems of WebProsperity are an unknown. Often times what is promised turns out to be quite different from what you get after you sign up. But, I can vouch for my upline team and the support and training that I will personally offer anyone who signs up in my line.
Again, this is no different from any MLM company. Your success is often directly affected by how much support and training you get from your sponsor. WebProsperity can’t magically change that “X factor” in their company. But, as with any MLM company, if your upline isn’t giving you the support you need, you should be able to go further up the line until you find someone who is actively support and helping to grow their downline.
John states that there are some serious red flags with WebProsperity because of the way this product is being marketed. In his opinion, the primary appeals are not to your rational and objective reason, but rather that they capitalize on the Big Five Failure Factors:
Fear of loss Greed Laziness Ignorance Gullibility
Again, I have to disagree. What sold me on WebProsperity was not fear in any sense, but rather the simplicity and money savings of being able to have all the tools I need and use available through one source at a reduced rate.
I have no fear of loss (except that not taking advantage of WebProsperity will continue to cost me more than the $59.95/mo to utilize these tools individually from other sources.
I don’t think I’m being greedy recognizing that I can generate another income stream by promoting the WebProsperity product suite. These are valuable tools. Someone else will promote them. If I’m going to be using them, why shouldn’t I promote them and make a commission?
As for the lazy factor, there will always be people attracted to MLM opportunities who are lazy. The basic structure of an MLM compensation plan with any company tends to make people think they can earn a fast, easy buck. Those who think that will likely leave WebProsperity in short order, just as they have likely joined and left other MLM opportunities. The truth is, any business takes work.
I don’t consider myself either ignorant or gullible, so I won’t even comment on how those factors may or may not relate to WebProsperity, unless it’s in the same vein as laziness. Is there a responsibility for due diligence on the part of anyone enrolling in the program? You betcha! But, no more with WebProsperity than with any other legitimate business out there.
I can only surmise that neither me or my sponsor are “heavy hitter” promoters or their clones, as we are focusing on the products and benefits of WebProsperity, rather than trying to instill fear in potential recruits.
Now, John does very clearly state that his review is his personal view, and he isn’t asking anyone to agree or disagree, but only to make up their own minds based on factual information. I feel that I have done that. And, I believe that WebProsperity is an excellent opportunity — not only from an MLM aspect, but also when considering the product line they offer.
To your success!

Go here to sign up for WebProsperity.
It’s easy to find both negatives and positives on WebProsperity, which is still 5 days away from launch. In part one of my in-depth report on WebProsperity, I will look at one of several negative reviews on the internet.
Ben Fitts, in his article “Why You Should Avoid WebProsperity” states emphatically that he is not, and does not want to be affiliated with this company. He describes WebProsperity as a “powerline MLM” which uses “fear of loss to get people to sign up”.
Ben’s major complaints with WebProsperity are:
WebProsperity is a hype-driven powerline The products are available elsewhere for free or low cost Most people joining are joining for the opportunity not to be a customer, which is a violation of FTC policies. WebProsperity will only sell to other MLMers because it doesn’t have a real product.
So, let’s look at Ben’s complaints with WebProsperity one by one.
Is WebProsperity a hype-driven powerline? There has certainly been a lot of enthusiasm surrounding this product launch. I will admit that the “7 extra days” extension to the pre-launch smacked of hype to me. People responding on the WebProsperity Blog have been falling all over themselves thanking WebProsperity leaders for giving them the opportunity to continue to grow their downlines for free, and acting as if the door will close when the company launches next Tuesday.
OK, maybe I’m missing something here. But, this is the truth as I understand it: You can lock in your position for free during the pre-launch, but you don’t get to join WebProsperity for free. You will still be expected to pay your monthly subscription just like anyone else.
The WebProsperity launch on 13th will not close the doors to new signups, but you won’t be able to sign up without paying from that day forward.
The major advantage that I can see is that you do have a “grace period” so to speak. By signing up during the WebProsperity prelaunch, you have until the end of January to make a financial commitment. In effect, you could see how your downline is shaping up before committing.
Can you get the products WebProsperity offers elsewhere either free or low cost? That’s debatable. Yes, you can get free autoresponders. But, there are real benefits to paying for a quality autoresponder.
There are no advertisements from others in your emails. There is a high degree of deliverability — both in timing and in success rate. You are protected from FTC violations by the double opt-in requirements of these services. A paid autoresponder doesn’t have the limitations on list size, email preloading, number of campaigns, and other issues that a free autoresponder often has.
This just addresses the WebProsperity autoresponder. Since I feel this is one of the most important tools anyone running a business on the internet can have, I’ll stop there. But, investigation of free versions of the other products in the WebProsperity package would reveal significant benefits to paying for these services as well. In short, have you ever heard the saying “You get what you pay for?”
Are most people joining WebProsperity for the opportunity rather than to be a customer? Certainly everyone who has joined during the pre-launch phase is joining for the opportunity. But, most are probably also planning to use the products. I know I am. So, am I joining JUST for the opportunity? No. I would say my motivation is probably closer to 50/50.
I need the products WebProsperity has to offer. So, I’m looking forward to being a customer. In fact, I will admit to being a tad disappointed that the launch was postponed a week. I was anxious to start using these products in my business.
Finally, will WebProsperity only sell to other MLMers because it lacks a real product? Again, I have to say “no”. Even if I didn’t want to join the business side of WebProsperity, I would still use these products.
My on-line businesses are not all MLM based. I also have niche websites with emailed newsletters (for which I use an autoresponder now). All of these niche sites can and will benefit from the other products in the WebProsperity line up, from adding video, audio and pictures to my sites, to holding webconferences and audio conferences regarding non-MLM information.
I can see the WebProsperity product line being used by any business with an internet presence — not just MLM companies.
That’s my 2 cents worth. Sorry, Ben, but I’m afraid I have to disagree with you on this one.
Check back tomorrow as I dissect another review of a WebProsperity written by John Counsel.

With the momentum of over 10,600 sign-ups yesterday it is
evident the momentum is picking up with new team members.
